Ideen für eine klimasoziale Stadt / Ideas for a climate-social City

Climate social policy strives for a social, inclusive and politically progressive society that enables a self-determined life without endangering the livelihood of others. It thus consciously opposes neoliberal hegemony, in which climate and social policy are often negotiated as conflicting goals, and makes proposals on how emissions can be reduced and lives improved. Especially in cities, both the potential and the necessity for climate-social policy are particularly great in the light of the increasingly tangible consequences of the climate crisis. This lecture discusses existing ideas and how they relate in the context of climate and social policy.

Klimagerechtigkeit im öffentlichen Raum – Vision Wiener Klimastraßen

Der Klimawandel wird in Wien immer spürbarer. Vor allem in dicht bebauten Grätzln mit wenig Grün wird die steigende Hitze im Sommer in den nächsten Jahren immer schwerer auszuhalten sein. Menschen mit weniger Einkommen können dieser Hitze schwer ausweichen. Die AK Wien hat sich deshalb im Rahmen der Studie »Klimagerechtigkeit im öffentlichen Raum – Vision Wiener Klimastraßen« angeschaut, wo jetzt was getan werden muss, um ein gutes Leben für alle in der Stadt in Zeiten des Klimawandels zu sichern.
